Meet Terry Driskill: Your candidate for District 3
Hello, I'm Terry Driskill, and I'm running for the school board in District 3. I was born in Jackson Parish and graduated from Jonesboro-Hodge High School in 1972. I'm dedicated to bringing better communication and understanding to our schools, central office, and parents. I've listened to your concerns, and I'm ready to act.

A journey of understanding and support
I have been blessed to have a diverse professional career helping families on their personal journeys with abuse, substance abuse, and family chaos. A child does not ask to be raised in a home where parents fight, use drugs, and neglect their children. We have to meet that child at the front doors of their home and at the school.

Prepared to serve District 3
I have been preparing for this position through personal experiences that have given me insights into the homes of children and adolescents. I know what many students face every day. This unique perspective makes me the best person to represent District 3 on the school board.

My commitment to you: clear priorities
If elected, I promise to focus on clear priorities: 1. Communication, 2. Transparency—no surprises, 3. Behavioral health. I will also establish a Parent Advisory Committee in District 3 to shape policies, and implement a 24-hour return phone call policy for parents and guardians. A parent deserves a callback from our schools. Finally, we must train our school counselors to provide grief counseling when a student dies; youth leaders can address their youth at their places of worship.
"Terry Driskill truly understands the challenges our children face, and his commitment to fostering better communication and support is exactly what District 3 needs."
Leaders speak up; stand-up; and step out.
